Provocative Miss Dior - born 25.04.07

Meet Dior - she is a lilac silver Ocicat (73cs). Dior is the first kitten of Zahraa's, and first to be born with the 'Provocative' prefix. Dior is our second breeding queen, and we are very proud of her.

Dior was the first kitten born by Zahraa, followed by 4 more lovely siblings. In fact, I'm as sure as I can be that Dior was the one causing all the ruckus most of the time inside Zahraa's tummy (on her left side) before she was born. I said to my husband, I can't wait to meet that little trouble causer - she was always moving around, and kicking. When cats give birth they give birth from one uterine horn, rest, and then the other. So given that the majority of kicks we saw were furthest towards Zahraa's back end on the left hand side of Zahraa's tummy, and that Dior was first out it must have been her. There were 3 kittens born first from her left side, then Zahraa rested, and 2 more kittens followed from the right horn. (So there you go - well - I found it interesting LOL). A right monkey this one is, and I'm sure she will have a few new tricks to teach us all in the future! I hope you enjoy watching her grow as much as we will :))

Dior stood out to me from the beginning - only for the first week or two I had mistaken her for a boy! I'm so pleased I was wrong about that - I always thought she was too pretty for a boy :) She is certainly her mothers daughter - active, fun loving and confident! Now at a year old, we think she looks more and more like her father Inca :) We are not planning any kittens until later in the year 2008).
