Zahraa's 1st litter - born 25.04.07

YDam; Merrydancer Zahraa - Sire; Ch Lesmo IncaY

Kittens will leave for their new homes no earlier than 13 weeks, fully vaccinated, wormed and GCCF registered. They are to go to loving indoor homes only. If you are wanting a kitten with potential to show and or breed please discuss this with me at point of enquiry, this ensures I can advise you, and we can decide on most suitable kitten for you (note from this litter boys are available for pet/show only). I do not charge extra for 'show quality' kittens. Please contact me if you are interested in loving one of our kittens.

See 'Feline Pregnancy' page to follow Zahraa's pregnancy

I'm considering kittens names - I wanted this theme to be 'Fragrances' - thing is perfumes have nicer names than aftershaves! Some I may have to play with also, as you are only allowed to register using so many characters - so where it looks like I haven't spell checked something, its because I've had to reduce no of characters: Dior Homme, Coco Madmosele, Secret Wish, Hugo Boss, Issy Miyake. (Dior Homme turned out to be Miss Dior, Secret Wish turned out to be Gorgyo Armarni!).

Kitten 1: born at 5.41am, weighing 118g

Weight at 13 weeks: 1.48kg

Lilac silver female - Booked (to me!)

'Provocative Miss Dior'

This little girl started suckling before Zahraa had even expelled her placenta - and she hasn't stopped feeding since :)

What a beauty - this girl is big, with incredible spotting - I'm very keen to see this girl develop. 03.05.07 - and we had it confirmed that this baby is actually a girl, not a boy! Oops! But I have to say I'm pleased - this one is so pretty I did wish she was a girl when I first laid eyes on her. I've been staring at her for the last hour, just thinking how gorgeous can you get!

Miss Dior 1 week old already! Dior has not opened her eyes as yet.
Miss Dior at 12 days - this girl gets prettier by the day! I really love her coat, her face...she is definitely 'all thing's nice' as little girls should be :))

Miss Dior at 17 days.

Miss Dior 3.5 weeks.
Miss Dior at 5 weeks, looking every bit the glamour puss...and she is! She is very sweet - and full of trouble!
Miss Dior at 6 weeks. Very beautiful and lively ;)
Miss Dior at 7 weeks
Miss Dior at 8 weeks - best picture of a bad bunch I'm afraid -  she was like lightening after the feather sticks, and wasn't going to hang around for me to get a decent snap :)
Miss Dior at 9 weeks, singing for her supper!
Miss Dior coming up to 10 weeks - she is so very like her mother in every way :)
Miss Dior, 11 weeks old - when she grows up she is going to be a pony!
Miss Dior at 12 weeks

Kitten 2: born at 5.50am, weighing 97g

Weight at 13 weeks: 1.48kg

Chocolate female (booked to go with Hugo, wit Sue & family)

'Provocative Coco Madmosele'

This little girl is already showing signs of being spoiled, if she can't get the nipple she wants she SQUEALS!

This little monkey woke me 3 times in the night because she had been kicked off her nipple by another kitten.

She is still squealing at feed time! And what a fuss when Mum cleans her - she makes me giggle. Adorable face she has - she will get away with anything she wants!

Coco 1 week old, just slightly opening both eyes now.
Coco at 12 days old - Coco is quite the little adventurer and not too big for a clip round the ear from Mum if she goes too far!
Coco at 17 days.
Coco at 3.5 weeks.
Coco at 5 weeks, looking beyond the camera and toy to see what else might interest her - her favourite hobby is climbing - I think she is a Spiderman fan. She just has to climb everything :)
Coco at 6 weeks, sitting still for once, though it was only a second :)
Coco at 7 weeks
Coco at 8 weeks - god can this girl move! I've have about 43 pictures of her from this evening, where she is so fast if she isn't a complete blur, she looks like she has racing stripes! Fabulous little chocolate baby :))
Coco at 9 weeks, sleeping like an angel. Coco now likes to sit on shoulders and look down at her siblings - like a parrot but cuter!
Coco almost 10 weeks, pretending to be good!
Coco, 11 weeks - she is definitely going to be 'spider man' when she grows up - if she can see it - she can climb it!
Coco at 12 weeks old

Kitten 3: born at 6.05am, weighing 132g

Weight at 13 weeks: 1.88kg

Chocolate silver male - booked

'Provocative Gorgyo Armarni'

Georgy is going to live with George & Glenda - they also have Anbini's brother Charly :)

This boy is the biggest kitten! Once he has a nipple no one can get him off no matter how they try. I think he will be naughty!

I was right - this boy is very handsome - very naughty - and will probably be the size of an elephant when he is ready to leave! Loves his food! 03.05 - 'Secret Wish' as he was known - turns out I had this baby wrong too, and is a boy!! I thought he was a very large kitten, I should have known purely by his size!

Gorgy 1 week old, both eyes slightly open same as Coco. (Sorry - I've changed this kits name...again - he just didn't look like a Paco no matter how many times I said it!).
Gorgy at 12 days old - he is huge! He is very sweet, I think he is going to be a right monkey too as he grows!
Gorgy at 17 days.
Gorgy at 3.5 weeks.
Gorgy at 5 weeks, looking rather angelic - and I have to say - he is! I thought he was going to be the naughtiest, but he is a real softy and will shout at you to be picked up :)
Gorgy at 6 weeks, trying to concentrate very hard on the feather stick, whilst Hugo sneaks up behind him!
Gorgy at 7 weeks
Gorgy at 8 weeks - auditioning for the role of Oliver...or so he'd have you believe :)
Gorgy at 9 weeks, looking as sweet as he really is! This boy is such a softy! He loves being held, and he shouts to be picked up, or retrieved if he thinks he has wandered too far from his siblings! A real darling.
Gorgy, almost 10 weeks full of mischeif.
Gorgy, 11 weeks - no matter how much Gorgy grows, he will never be too big for a cuddle!
Gorgy at 12 weeks old

Kitten 4: born at 6.37am, weighing 102g

Weight at 13 weeks: 1.88kg

Chocolate silver male - booked

'Provocative Hugo Boss'

Hugo is going to live with Sue & family, I think he will be VERY happy with them :)))

This boy has a wonderfully dark bitter chocolate coat, over his silver base - his markings are much darker than they appear in this picture.

This little man is SO sweet!! He is the smallest of the boys, but still above average weight :)) He is so laid back, great coat, he is going to be the most wonderful, endearing chap.

Hugo 1 week old, and he is the first to open his eyes. He looks even more adorable now!
Hugo at 12 days - This boy will get away with anything - he likes exploring with Coco, but he doesnt have the naughty face she does - he looks like a wide eyed angel! As if!
Hugo at 17 days.
Hugo at 3.5 weeks.
Hugo at 5 weeks - Hugo has 2 speeds - 90mph and stop. He LOVES running! He has nearly had me on the floor 3 times tonight, belting around under my feet - he is so funny, and clearly enjoying his little self LOL. He has super little ear tufts just like his Momma too.
Hugo at 6 weeks - larking about as usual :)
Hugo at 7 weeks
Hugo at 8 weeks - again, this is another monkey where I only got one decent shot of him where you can see anything other than a blur :)
Hugo at 9 weeks, looking lovely as ever - what a monkey he is! He too likes climbing to sit on your shoulder - but he just has to take it one bit too far, and try sit on your head too... ;)
Hugo coming up to 10 weeks, this boy is a rogue - a very, very loveable one :)
Hugo, 11 weeks - when he grows up he will probably be the size of a Labrador LOL  - his paws are huge!
Hugo at 12 weeks old

Kitten 5: born at 6.54am, weighing 107g

Weight at 13 weeks: 1.65kg

Lilac male - Booked

'Provocative Issy Miyake'

Mikey is going to live with Kiyomi and family :)))

This boy is a cutie, he is last at the nipple, the most mobile already, and just has the sweetest little face!

What a squabbler! I didn't think Mikey had it in him :)) He will get to the milk bar no matter what, he is a very determined little chap! Again, for a Lilac I'm very impressed with his contrast :)))) Darling boy!

Mikey 1 week old, and like Dior has yet to open his eyes.
Mikey at 12 days - He is sooooo sweet! He has huge eyes, and really is such a cutie! He is going to be a right Mummies boy at his new home.

Mikey at 17 days.

Mikey at 3.5 weeks.
Mikey at 5 weeks - he always looks sad on photos! He isn't honestly :)) He has the softest sweetest nature and is always first on my lap - closely followed by Georgy. This boy can wrap me round his little paw anytime he likes. He can do no wrong in my eyes - even when he occasionally does LOL!
Mikey at 6 weeks - looking lovely as ever AND this week is the first week I've managed to capture him as he is, and not the 'so sad face' look LOL.
Mikey at 7 weeks
Mikey at 8 weeks - what a lovely boy he is! My best model of the day I think as he was the only one I got more than one picture of that was half decent LOL!
Mikey at 9 weeks, he has had a big day - meeting his new family for the first time today, and I have to say, he is one very lucky kitten :))
Toto almost 10 weeks old - Toto is Mikeys new name given to him by his new family. Toto is a very handsome boy indeed.
Toto, 11 weeks - well - clearly he is just going to be incredibly handsome!
Toto at 12 weeks old

26.04.07 - Well the kittens are a day old now! I can't tear myself away from them. They are so incredibly sweet. I have weighed them all again this morning, and they are gaining very nicely. So nicely in fact, I'm wandering just how big they are going to get! I best double the food order I was going to put in this week :)) Its funny to see how much strength they have, I'm amazed that they will actually smack another one if they are trying to get on a nipple they are on - oh yes - it all goes on at the milk bar! I have decided my keeper from this litter is Coco. They are all so lovely, but the thought of letting this little girl ever leave just makes me cry. So she is staying.

27.04.07 - I was hoping to take some more individual pictures of the kittens today, but Zahraa has other ideas  I take one out - she takes one back. So Ill leave them be with Mum, after all she does know best! Their little faces are already visibly 'chubbier' today than they were yesterday. They are such chunky kittens! Of course Mum & Dad are both good size cats, but they never cease to amaze me when I weigh them (twice a day). They are so adorable, a big part of me is dreading them growing up and leaving! I must make the most of them whilst they are with us :))) The more I watch the kittens - the more I see their personalities coming out, it really is very fascinating, and so special to be part of it :))) There isn't one of them I don't adore, for very different reasons. They are fabulous, feisty & sweet all rolled in a spotted fur coat!

28.04.07 - Dior (kitten one) is a Lilac silver, not a lilac as I first thought. Gradually her silver base is shining through under her spots :))) Mikey (kitten 5) has an 'oat' coloured base under his spots - both very pretty indeed! They both looked identical at birth, I'm enjoying noticing their differences :)) Seriously cute - but then I'm biased :)) Picture below taken today.

01.05.07 - The kittens have almost doubled their birth weight in only 6 days! They are very big lovely babies :)) Zahraa is very protective over her babies now. She will go for a wander around the house to mingle with the other cats, but one of her kittens squeaks and she is back like a shot! She purrs so loudly the whole time she is in bed with them, and is always padding her paws, showing her utter contentment with them. I'm sure I heard one of the kittens purring tonight too! They wont open their eyes for maybe another week yet, but seem to get around just fine by sound, smell and feel. Utter time wasters, I can watch them for hours and hours...

02.05.07 - They are one week old today! Hugo is the first to open his eyes, (just his left eye at the moment) and the others wont be far behind him. George is still by far the greediest, Coca the noisiest & Mikey the fastest!

03.05.07 - Had to remove the photos of kits at 7 days, as I managed to get most of them blurred, and the kittens colours weren't true to life- not happy with them at all. Tonight Jack has helped me take pictures, and they are better than yesterdays! So kittens on 'one week' pictures are actually 8 days :) Ahhh - I made a mistake! Dior is actually female (which I'm very pleased about!) and Secret Wish is now George! (Sigh!) - still - 3 out of 5 isn't bad! My only excuse is this is my first litter, and their 'bits' are tiny :)) (You were waiting for this bit Jo R. ;)

04.05.07 - Today ALL the kittens have their eyes open :))) Hugo's are fully open and when I look at him there are these huge blue beautiful peepers staring back at me! Of course in the weeks to come their eyes will change from their baby blue to a bright amber/gold or green. Ocicat's eyes can be any colour but blue, but like human babies, they are all born with blue eyes :) I've been going to bed really late ever since they arrived, as it takes forever to tear yourself away from them. Tonight I have been tickling their tummies, and they are looking at my face and wriggling round adorably, showing off their spotty tummies and waving their little legs in the air.

07.05.07 - The kittens are moving around now, trying to walk now as opposed to crawling. Coco & Hugo are best at this so far - the others are catching on. They purr and it sounds so funny, like a series of fast little clicks :)) They love being stroked, tickled and like being picked up too - but Zahraa isn't keen on them being picked up, so photos are harder to do, as I have to wait until Mum is otherwise occupied (and she rarely leaves them!) to try get pics. She is a very tentative Mother, and just hasn't stopped purring since the day she had them. Dior looks like an angel - a little lilac angel - her big chubby cheeks, and big blue eyes. She comes towards you when you talk to her now, like Coco & Hugo. George and Mikey are normally too busy feeding LOL. Managed to get one half decent shot this morning, whilst feeding: Left to right we have Coco, Dior, George (he's the one underneath Hugo!) and Mikey (half underneath Hugo also!).

07.05.07 - I wish I could keep them ALL...I'll tell you another secret too...you wouldn't believe how much they wriggle! - especially when the camera comes out :) Below is: Coco, Hugo, George (who was in line & moved to hide round the back soon as I clicked!) Mikey, Miss Dior. I wander if I'll ever get the 'fantastic five' all nice in one shot??

08.05.07 - What a lovely welcome home I got this evening. As I peered over at the kittens I got the most wonderful welcome - as I started saying hello to the kittens, they all talk back and start walking towards me :)) They are very lovely, and obviously very friendly! They love the attention and really respond to the sound of voices, and the sight of a hand coming to tickle them under the chin. A very appreciative audience we have LOL. Hugo is especially nosey, and Mikey seemed quite pleased to be sat in my hands tonight talking to me whilst being cooed over LOL.

12.05.07 - Zahraa is getting quite miffed about the fact that the kittens are wanting to wander further than their bed now! She isn't quite ready to let go of the apron strings. They are wandering all over now, and if you go to stroke one there is a mad dash for your hand! If one is having their belly tickled they ALL want their belly tickled! I took some pictures earlier, but they were quite tired, so not up to much - I'm wanting to get some more when they are all awake and fussing around - they are a right little bunch of busy bodies :)) Maybe a video clip would work better for one of those times :))

15.05.07 - The kittens teeth have come through you can feel them when they try suckling on your hand - I think to myself  'how sweet' - however in a few weeks time when they are bigger and bolder, I probably wont think their teeth are quite so sweet LOL. Zarhaa is still not letting go of those apron strings, she is as tentative as ever with them - even with those little teeth and claws at the milk bar :)) She absolutely adores them! They use her as a climbing frame a lot now, and she tells them off - I don't think its because they are annoying her, its because they are becoming increasingly more adventurous, and she isn't quite ready for that herself yet. They all have lovely long whiskers at the moment, but I'm wandering if as they start pottering around more and more if Zahraa won't chew their whiskers in the hopes of limiting their exploring! Lots of mother do this. I have found this article tonight which explains there importance to the cat http://www.moggies.co.uk/html/whiskers.html. I took the kittens out tonight for photographs but they were rather uncooperative this evening, wanting to climb over each other instead :)) So Ill try again tomorrow!

16.05.07 - Well the kittens are 3 weeks old today!! And what a bunch of thugs they seem to have turned into over night!! Tonight they are pulling each other over, biting each others tails, ears, bottoms - anything they can grab hold of - and rolling around. It's all perfectly normal behaviour, and a good form of play - but I really did think Zahraa's kittens might show a little more decorum LOL! But alas - they may look like little angels but their behaviour does not reflect this - I wouldn't mind but they are only 3 inches tall! :)))) Hugo has been showing off his 'bear grip' to his siblings. When I put my hand near to stroke them he pounces and holds on, with the hopes of being hoisted up to see his new exciting world - until Zahraa pats his head and he comes back down! (Note to self - must trim their nails!).

19.05.07 - They are really getting about now! They are checking out the kitten scratch post, looking at the toys - though they aren't quite sure what they are supposed to do with them yet! Zahraa will teach them in good time! They try to climb your legs and arms. They are very inquisitive and love attention when they aren't busy feeding :))))

20.05.07 - The kittens have started showing interest in the toys today - their eyes will follow a feather, they can move a ball - normally accidentally at first but once they have done it, they go after it again. They love climbing over my legs when I sit on the floor - they think I'm a giant climbing frame - they crawl onto my lap, climb up my t-shirt, bite my arms (in a playful way!) - they're just so so fabulous! Not great pictures below, but gives you an idea of what they are up to ;))) Left is Dior with scrunch ball, right we have (left to right) George, Dior and Hugo diving off my leg. Below centre is Coco and Mikey rolling around play fighting. Have you noticed their little ears appear more on the top of their heads this week?

24.05.07 - The kittens are now 4 weeks old!! They are enjoying wet food, and Hugo, Dior, Mikey & George are enjoying royal canin baby cat too which is a dry food. Coco has not tried this yet,  but sure she will follow suit over the next couple of days. Coco is very busy playing Spiderman - climbing anything and everything she can get her claws into! The others are all over the place now too - I'm sure before long they will all be climbing :)

25.05.07 - The kittens had their nails done tonight! I just used ordinary nail clippers to take the tips off their nails to make sure they don't accidentally catch each other in the eye when playing. Hugo and George were the best for this - Coco, Mikey & Dior thought it was a wriggling contest, and thought the whole thing was a game. In time they will become used to this process, as its important to keep indoor cats nails trimmed, every other week. I feel better watching them grabbing each other and rolling around tonight, knowing there wont be any scratched eyes, or sudden mews as they cant yet control their claws like the adult cats can when they are playing. They have been little monkeys tonight, and are now starting to get tired. Think I will put their supper out soon and let them settle for the evening :) They have certainly earned a rest - its not easy all this playing you know!

28.05.07- Well - I've had major PC problems for the last few days hence not many updates! Apologies if any kitten owners have emailed me, because of the problems I have a huge backlog of email etc and will respond soon as possible. The kittens are doing great - they are now using the litter tray quite successfully :) They have been eating, roast chicken, lamb, minced beef, Felix, Whiskas and of course their dry food, royal canin baby cat. Their favourite at the moment seems to be the minced beef! I even heard Georgy growling worried the others might get some of his share, and Hugo stomping his paw down on 'his part' of the plate LOL! They are all really enjoying their solid food, and still frequent 'Moms milk bar' - in fact this they will do until they leave even though perhaps less frequently the more solids they eat.

29.05.07 - Well sorry folks for the lack of updates - my PC still isn't up & running as I'd like - its driving me crazy! Still - if it had been working there would probably be 3000 pictures of each kitten - bums, tails, racing stripes (they move so fast now their spots become blurs LOL!) and we have been having an awful lot of fun :)) I can't believe they are 5 weeks old tomorrow! In eight weeks they will be old enough to leave us! Right now that thought causes an awful heavy feeling in my stomach...I love them so much! I know they are going to make a few families very very happy. But it just seems I have such shorter time with them :(((

03.06.07 - I think as the kittens grow they are easier to photograph! Thank god - at last LOL! They are really lively, very funny - and still all maintaining above average weight for their ages :)) They eat huge amounts of food - wet and dry - and they are still feeding several times a day from Zahraa - though Zahraa is looking thin now, looking after 5 kittens - even though she is eating approximately 5 times the normal adult amount of food a day - it must go straight to her milk, as we are having a hell of a job trying to get weight back on her. She gets anything she wants - chicken, lamb, turkey, beef - this is on top of her dry food, and all the wet kitten food she is eating. But she does encourage them to still feed from her, she is incredibly maternal. It shows in the kittens, them being so big :)) Well - BIG decision today!! Dior whom I first thought was a boy, so I never even considered keeping her initially - has turned into a fabulous little girl, in every way. I have begged and begged my husband if I can keep her AND Coco - alas I cannot :((((( So I've had to decide, going forward who I think might make the best breeding queen looking at the 2 girls. This is Dior. So as much as it pains me (though not as much as it will my husband!) Coco is available, and Dior is now staying with us. Its difficult, as breeders, we love our cats dearly, even the kittens who are with us for such little time - but sometimes I have to remind myself why I wanted to breed in the first place - of course part of it is having gorgeous little kittens about the place - but the other was to move forward with the breed, and choosing type & temperament has to be in mind - though both girls are adorable, cheeky and playful, Dior has the edge type wise. I wont write any more on this tonight, as I'm finding it a very hard decision and will only get more upset. I will go play with the babies some more, now I've uploaded their pictures - they are an absolute joy to be around!

04.06.07 - Well, off goes the kittens registration papers to the GCCF tonight. Once they have confirmed they have accepted all the names I can do the kittens pedigrees - which really are already stored on the PC and ready to go :) The only alteration I have had to make thus far is to Georgio Armani - I have spelled it Gorgyo Armarni - one so he can match his brother to be 'Charly' with a Y and I also had to take the E out as there were too many letters. Apart from that, fingers crossed they will accept all the chosen names. I was actually in Boots yesterday and as I walked past the perfume counter I saw a tester bottle of Miss Dior - so couldn't resist having a squirt - it's lovely! I might see if I can get pics of all the fragrance bottles so you can recognise your kittens 'name sake' next time out shopping :))

07.06.07 - The kittens love their food! They are right little porkers :) Lively as anything, and simply love being doted on and cuddled. All 5 of them fell asleep on me tonight whilst I was on the sofa - I didn't dare move for a pee because they all looked so angelic LOL - thankfully Zahraa came in and woke them all up. They make lovely heat pads LOL.

10.06.07 - I've taken the kits '7 weeks' pics - even though they aren't quite 7 weeks - The kittens were born on a Wednesday, its just easier to take the time to do the photographs at weekends. They have been galloping around like lunatics today LOL. If they are playing upstairs and we're downstairs they sound like a herd of elephants!! They are really loving games of chase at the moment, and they love throwing toy mice about and 'killing them'. Still looking at Coco and thinking - shall I keep her, can I keep 2 kittens?? I still think she is lovely...I just don't know what to do - in an ideal world (and if I had a mansion!!) I could keep them all LOL Sorry - not meaning to panic kitten owners LOL- I won't keep them ALL don't worry ;))))

14.06.07 - The kittens are now 7 weeks old - in 2 short weeks they will be going for their first vaccinations! Gorgy is sat here watching me type - he is watching for spelling mistakes. He is a real softie and its very important for Gorgy to be around you or another cat. He is a real love bug. If I put him on my lap he would stay there forever if he could so Im glad when he goes to his new home he has a lovely companion Charly waiting for him. Hugo has overtaken Gorgy in size -in fact Hugo is a bit of a giant - I think he may even get bigger than his dad, Inca (and he is a VERY large boy). Even the smallest in the litter (Coco) is big (on average for Ocicat's their age). They are as big as their personalities LOL. I have trimmed their nails again this evening - I might do a video clip on this. Its particularly important at this age, as they spend most of their time play fighting, and as you can imagine, if they catch each others eyes, it could be nasty. Most of them almost fell asleep as I was doing their nails this evening, as they have been none stop galloping, jumping, leaping, climbing for the last 4 solid hours :)))) But its late now and time to get them all ready for bed - that's fun now - you can never get more than 3 of them together when they are awake, and you put one to bed, another one comes out - it takes Ian and I about 30 minutes to round everyone up, give them supper, make sure everything's fine before we turn the lights out - its harder than kids sometimes LOL!

18.06.07 - The kittens will be 8 weeks old this week!! Oh if you could see them playing! Galloping here, climbing there, its a very busy life being a kitten! This weekend they had their first visitors - Gorgy's owners came to visit. They were very well behaved - playing and climbing over them, and Gorgy their kitten fell asleep on them for some time after he had had a good play on the floor with toys with them. Gorgy obviously liked them very much - he particularly liked Glenda's lap! Here are a few snaps of the 'Rat Pack'. Gives you some idea of how hard it can be to photograph them - especially all together LOL!

20.06.07 - The kittens are 8 weeks old today!! Where does the time go. I have tried for the 3rd time since Sunday to get some decent individual photos of the kittens for the site this week - its proving rather difficult - they are like whirl winds - the fast and the furious, they don't have time to sit and pose! So Ive simply loaded the best of a bad bunch LOL - it was worth the effort though - the kittens had an absolute ball for the 'shoot' - as you can see from the 'out takes' below:

Coco & Dior Dior, Mikey & Coco (above!) Mikey & Hugo

Gorgy, Hugo, Mikey & Coco Dior & Coco (doing her 'Matrix' impression)Hugo & Mikey

As you can see - its a cats life!

24.06.07 - Kittens are almost 9 weeks old now! Today we met Mikeys new owners, and they are lovely. I cant believe though that the kittens slept through out almost the entire visit! Little rascals! I did point out they are not always so quiet, but sometimes its nice to see for yourself LOL. I'm glad I put the above photos on last week, so you can see they don't actually sleep all the time at all :)))) Coco & Hugo have a new 'thing' - climbing on to your shoulder and making themselves quite comfy there. I think its a very sweet trait (when their nails are trimmed), and they are definitely enjoying their high rides!

01.07.07 - When I was a little girl, I remember sitting watching my Mum with fascination whilst she was doing her hair and make up. Today, whilst I was doing my make up - Dior & Coco sat staring in fascination, the whole time - it reminded me of that, and made me smile. Its small moments like this which you remember, and small moments like that, which make pets become part of the family. Little things, that they do, little habits they develop, which makes each one very special in their own way. Each one of these kittens is leaving a lasting memory with us here, and they are all so very different - and all so wonderful. We heard last night that the kittens father, Inca has now earned the title of Champion - we are very pleased - overall, we think Zahraa's & Inca's genes have worked very well together, which is why these kittens are so fabulous to us.

10.07.07 - The kittens will be going to their new homes in just a couple of weeks! They have been wormed and have had their first vaccinations - another jab to go - they were so very good at the vets - they couldn't believe the size of them all! They were all good weights at birth, but have never lapsed since neither - they do love their food LOL! A trait they have gotten from their very greedy Mom! Hugo is even partial to the froth off the Guinness...not that we encourage them to drink at this age, he discovered it quite by accident ;)

19.07.07 - The kittens turned 12 weeks old yesterday! They go for their final vaccination in just days. Tonight for the first time, we took them into the Cat run in the back garden - something new for them to explore - they did enjoy themselves, and the last of the evening sunshine. It was also a good photo opportunity, and quite a poignant one...they may be the last individual pictures of the kittens I get chance to take, as this time next week they will be in or ready to go on to their new homes. Apart from all the hard work (umpteen litter trays is not easy to keep on top of!) and the cost (oh yes - they love to eat the best of everything, and go through litter like no ones business) - all that aside - these last 12 weeks have been amazing. I'm very aware I have little time left with them, and last night had a horrid nightmare about the kittens - I know its because I'm so upset about the thought of them leaving. I know they are going to fabulous families, which is wonderful, but I just cant help feeling a little melancholy - and well - a little sick. I hope you like the pictures - these are all very special to me. Now I'm off to play with the kits before bed, whilst they are all still here!

23.07.07 - Well - the kittens have all had their final vaccinations - all pronounced healthy (and heavy :) by the vets. I cant believe this is the end of my nursery page. I have added their weights at 13 weeks to their notes above. The kittens are going to their new homes this week (all on different days). Its a very sad time for a breeder, but a very happy time for those families who have been eagerly awaiting the day they can collect their new family addition! I have been getting all the paperwork done in readiness, insurance forms, pedigrees, information sheets and packs for the kittens to take with them. Each part of this stage has pained me- my hope is that I will receive updates of the babies as they grow, and hearing about how they are getting on with their families - this is what's its all about - and what will make parting with them after 13 weeks all worth it. I will start a pictures from owners page so that hopefully should we get quite a few, updates, that I can share with you too. Below left (left to right) Toto, Hugo, Gorgy, Dior, Coco. 25.07.07 - Last night we said good bye to Hugo - and in a turn of events - Coco also. Sue & family were very taken with Coco also, and I was still toying with the idea of keeping her - but in the end, I thought it would be much nicer for Hugo to have his sister with him, so the good byes were harder than ever. But I have already had an update this morning to say both were fine and exploring their new home. This morning - Toto has gone off with his new family too - a very special day for Natsuki, birthday girl and new owner to Toto - I have to say they are very lucky kittens all of them. I have no doubts they will be spoiled rotten. Missing them already!
